Our field trips have reached over 700 students, providing them with unique opportunities to explore some of the most significant educational sites in the region. The Walter Munk Educational Plaza highlights Walter Munk’s pioneering work in oceanography, allowing students to engage with scientific concepts through interactive displays and live demonstrations.
WALTER MUNK DAY
During Walter Munk Day, we celebrate his remarkable 80-year legacy of exploration and discoveries in the fields of oceanography and science. This event brings together a vibrant community of educators, scientists, and ocean enthusiasts with approximately 40 exhibitors. This event presents ocean-themed educational activities for children of all ages.
LAKE ALTAUSSEE
Our foundation supports vital research on Alpine ecosystems, with a particular focus on lake geology, biology, and hydrology. We are committed to developing strategies to preserve and protect these fragile ecosystems from the impacts of climate change, pollution, and human activity, ensuring their sustainability for future generations.
CONSERVATION
We are dedicated to raising awareness of ocean and environmental issues while supporting conservation actions and policies informed by scientific research.By promoting sustainable practices, protecting marine life, and addressing the impacts of climate change, we aim to create a lasting, positive impact on the environment.
