Celebrate Our Oceans

The annual Walter Munk Day celebration honors Walter’s 80-year legacy of daring exploration and discovery through scientific research, education and ocean conservation. The purpose of this event is to raise awareness of the fragility of our oceans and showcase Kumeyaay Heritage and Culture.

Ocean Alley & Kumeyaay Way

On Walter Munk Day, Ocean Alley & Kumeyaay Way comes to life to promote conservation and stewardship of our fragile ocean, with approximately 40 Exhibitors offering ocean-related, interactive, educational activities, games and demonstrations for children of all ages.
